Create Layout (Profile) From PC To Mac

Hi All,

I hope someone can help!

I have attached a screenshot of my dads autocad layout on pc, and would like it on mac but i cant seem to create it. So please could someone help me how to create the layout exactly the same? With the toolbars in the same place?

Your thoughts or profiles would be greatful

Thanks

Ben

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Ben,

It is not possible to replicate AC for Windows workspace in AC for Mac, because Mac version has it's own user interface, and there is no Toolbars in Mac version. All toolbars on Mac are "concentrated" inside ToolSets palette, and you can not split it to multiple toolbars.

Thank you for the reply, ok that's annoying!

Is there any way i can customize my layout (Profile) eg make toolbars/tools down the sides?

Or is there any customized layouts (Profiles) you could show me or send me?

Thanks Ben

You can dock ToolSets palette (you can not split it to the parts) to the left or right side of the screen, just drag it until you see lite blue line along the side of the screen, than release it and it will be docked.

Just use the windows version.  Your list of annoyances is probably just beginning.  Have a look at the rest: http://www.autodesk.com/products/autodesk-autocad/compare/compare-platforms
