Create a DWF file

I am using AutoCAD Mac 2014 and have been asked to create a DWF file but can't see how to do this.  I have tried to follow a suggestion on this but it asked me to click on the Output tab but I could find this either.....  Can anyone help?  There were some comments that AutoCAD LT 2014 for Macs doesn't do this.  Any suggestions?

Hi,

There is no such feature in AutoCAD for Mac.

You can use AutoCAD 360 for this:

upload DWG file to your account and then open drawing in on-line editor and use Output button:

to "print" to DWF format

You need to wait for green dot dissapear on Output button, than if you pick it again you will get an option to dowunload DWF file to your Mac.

There is no output button just a download or a print button

Did it all change with fusion?

I desperately need a dwfx and can't do it from my auto cad in Mac. I don't understand how this feature is not embedded in mac too..

Hi Iddo,

This topic is rather old and AutoCAD 360 with all its features doesn't exists now anymore. It was replaced with AutoCAD WEB (https://web.autocad.com/) and a lot of functionality was stripped out in it, including saving to older DWG formats and exporting to DWF.

Hi Maxim,

Is the AutoCAD Web the only option to create a DWF file on a Mac currently?

I am in college taking an Auto CAD course and was asked to create a DWF file.  However I didn't have that option available to me. I've attached the options I had presented.  As the course intensifies, I'm getting more and more frustrated that the AutoCAD Mac isn't user friendly at all compared to the PC version.  It's quite shocking actually how different the two versions are.

A separate question I have that hopefully you can help me with is in regards to the layout/ribbon of AutoCAD.  Once again my prof has a PC and his layout is a lot more user friendly.  I can't seem to find any options to have my Mac version look any where close to the same.  Do you know of a way?

It is not possible to create DWF file even in AutoCAD WEB app now, see my post >>>here<<<.

I cannot say that AutoCAD for Mac is not user friendly, but - yes - it doesn't have all features of AutoCAD for PC. You can see the comparison here - Compare Features: AutoCAD for Windows vs. AutoCAD for Mac

Yes, there is no Ribbon in AutoCAD for Mac. What specific Layout options are you unable to find? Can you clarify? I'll try to help you them in AutoCAD for Mac.

Unfortunately not.. Makes no sense but Autodesk never made dwf export for autocad mac. Should be a simple thing, right? On countries that licence buildings with dwf, architects must buy a windows pc just for that or use Parallels.

@Anonymous If it was simple, it would be there. Everyone goes for simple, even Autodesk.
