Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Gabriel,

What tasks do you want to perform in the cloud?
Here is the complete range of Autodesk cloud services:

https://www.autodesk.com/360-cloud#

Does one of them meet your needs?

Hello,

I saw the webpage that you reffered me to. The trouble is that I'm not
sure which to use. I have a 3D model that is on the order of 3GB. My
computer can no longer handle the file and crashes because of low
application memory especially when i use functions like union or when
converting to a .stl file. I was hoping that I could upload the file and
use AutoCADs cloud computing to finish doing what I need to do. I'm not
sure which from https://www.autodesk.com/360-cloud# to choose.

Thank you,

Gabriel

Wow! 3 Gb drawing! Are you kidding?
Can you share the screenshot of that model?
I think you need at first to try to optimize your model as it is too big even for Cloud computing.
As for the choice of software, most likely you need to try Fusion 360.

How to optimize:
- verify that solid history is not written to the drawing
- purge unnecessary and junk data from the drawing
- split the Model into smaller logical parts and work on them in separate drawings

I should be more specific.  I want to create a .stl file so that I can 3D print.  I've removed all unnecessary objects.  My machine typically runs out of application memory when I try to do it.

If you think cloud computing can help you - have you tried Fusion 360?

Regardless of which program is used, I doubt any of them are going to provide a one-shot solution.  Something that complex needs to be sliced up into logical chunks which will be printed separately and assembled after printing.  There's also some error-proofing in that: if the print job gets botched partway through, you only have to redo that one part not the whole thing.
