Change Graphic Engine option missing in Preferences 2026 MAC

Has anyone else noticed that the Graphics section in the General Preferences is missing for MAC 2026?
I was trying to see if switching between OpenGL Core and Metal would increase performance as my software was feeling sluggish. When I went to toggle between the two, I found the whole section removed.

the first image is from my 2025 version, showing it did exist.
the second image shows that it is missing in 2026.

I tried to contact customer service, but ultimately it led me to here.

If anyone has any answers as to how to fix or even toggle these options via another route, much greatly appreciated. Screenshot 2025-09-06 at 2.14.47 PM.pngScreenshot 2025-09-06 at 2.17.35 PM.png

Hi @chloeleyba8NWHJ ,

OpenGL Core Profile is no longer supported in AutoCAD for Mac as of version 2026.

Thank you Maxim_K
Would you have any suggestions on how to enhance the graphics capabilities on CAD2026? My previous install of 2025 had no issues and worked wonderfully. Now since I switched over to my curser moves incredibly slow, its boggy when I try to select objects, and all of my lines are dashed when selected. I tried looking, and have found very little info on this.
Thank you

Thank you Maxim, my current Mac a 2023 Mac mini with the M2 pro chip, 16gb of RAM and 500 mb of storage.
I do t have much installed on it otherwise, oh and it’s now running Tahoe, but the problem started back with Sequoia.

Hi Chloe,

>>>>2023 Mac mini with the M2 pro chip

This is really strange that you have performance issues with AC 2026. It should work fine on Mac with M2 chip.

Have you tried to Reset AutoCAD

If not - try to reset it and don't import settings from previous AutoCAD version (if it is still installed on your Mac).

Keep in mind that if you reset AutoCAD you will loose all your customisations.
