Border with OLE object not displaying

I have a border that I created for a client a couple months ago and I had an issue when I tried to insert their image. The first time I created the border it looked nice but if the image file wasn't in the same directory then it wouldn't show up in the autocad drawing...then someone suggested inserting it another way and that worked (I don't remember how i did it now).

Now I have someone using AutoCAD for Mac and the image is being left off the drawing, I understand that Apple OS doesn't support OLE, is there another way to fix this?

Thanks,

Steve

Hi,

The only one way to attach an image to the drawing in AutoCAD for Mac is to use IMAGEATTACH command:

http://help.autodesk.com/view/ACDMAC/2017/ENU/?guid=GUID-0F75E36F-6138-424C-9510-5847CE1D8852

It is placed to the drawing as an external reference and you can control the path to the image with Reference Manager, where you can, for example, change path to the image.

When you share the drawing with raster image attached the best way is to use Package Drawing (ETRANSMIT command):

http://help.autodesk.com/view/ACDMAC/2017/ENU/?guid=GUID-413A58AD-C86F-432F-A4AC-A2737237001A

By using this feature you can always be sure you won't miss the image in the drawing.
