I can't see the drawing, the screen is black (it is not about the display color); i've tried already with this solutions seen in other posts about this topic:

Reset Autocad

Reinstall Autocad (i've done this like 10 times, I even went from the 2018 version to 2021v and then 2018v again...)

_GRAPHICSCONFIG (>acceleration>hardware>[all] OFF)

Help! please, and thank you!!

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi @Anonymous

What is your Mac model and specifications?

Do you have this issue just after you installed 2021 version?

It is not really clear from your post: do you have the same issue with 2018 version?

BTW,

According to this thread:
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-for-mac-forum/workspace-is-black-in-autocad-for-mac/td-p/9033...
Clean uninstall:
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-for-mac/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/...
could help to resolve the issue with "black screen"

Hi,

this is the model and its specifications

Screen Shot 2020-10-18 at 13.08.26.png

This started happening to me with the 2018 version, then I installed the 2021 version and it fixed the problem, until now (a week later), when the black screen reappeared. So I tried installing again other versions (including the 2018 for a 2nd time) and the black screen remains.

What happened a week later on your Mac?
Have you installed some updates to macOS?

I have been getting the "License checkout time" message. Which is not
supposed to appear, I have my student license that should last until 2021.

"License checkout time" is not related to your main problem. I think this message is related to 2021 version installation, and is the result of new licensing system.

So for now - which AutoCAD version do you have on your Mac?
Are you able to launch it?
Have you tried 2020 or 2019 versions?

For some reason, the installation of the 2020 version failed the last time
I tried. And as for the 2019 version, same black screen result...
