AutoCAD on 2017 13" Macbook Pro very laggy

Hello, I have a 2017 13" MacBook pro that I run the student version of 2020 AutoCAD on.

My specs are as follows:

2.3 gigahertz duel core 4 thread i5, boosts up to 3.6ghz

8 gigs of 2133mhz ddr3

and for my graphics just integrated Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640

AutoCAD when doing anything at all has extremely low FPS, creating a line, panning the screen, moving the curser, etc. I had posted about this issue before and thought it was fixed but the issue still persists. While I understand my graphics are by no means powerful I shouldn't get lag when moving a blank drawing. I can play other light games like Minecraft at perfectly fine FPS so a few lines shouldn't be hard.

I have tried setting a bunch of values to 0

I have given autocad full disk access

I have no other applications open

Everything is up to date

I'm in 2D wire frame.

I have 3D object snap off.

I have done that weird terminal host name command.

I'm very upset because I have just accepted not being able to run autocad on my Macbook pro, which was one of the reasons I bought the pro over the air. I am pretty good with computers, I built my desktop so don't be afraid to use jargon and do more technical things.

Thank you for your time.

Hi Lucas,

You already marked as the solution my reply for your problem - "Macbook pro has slow laggy curser" here:

Does your new post mean that you have the same problem again?

It's hard to answer this question because I have this issue without even using an actual saved drawing. I can just open acad.dwt and will still have lag. However when I do save a drawing and open it it's usually on my desktop. File size cannot be measured because in acad.dwt and an actual floor plan I still have the same amount of lag.

Hello again Max! Great memory, originally it seemed to have fixed the issue but after a little while I'm right back where I started.

What version of AutoCAD you are using?
If it is 2020, then look at the Recent tab of Blocks palette. Do you have a lot of blocks there?
