AutoCAD for MAC how to put an entire layer in front

The best way I have figured out is to isolate the layer, select all, and then draw order/move to front.

I used this twice in a row to put hatched window tags in front of the drawing and the numbers in front of the hatch.  It looks good on the screen, like it worked, but the pdf does not show the numbers.  Huh?

Sometimes it's necessary to move everything else to the back in addition to bringing the text to the front.

Another thing you might consider is using MText with background mask.

Hi @liznewman ,

 

You can also try to use TEXTTOFRONT command to bring all text objects to front.
