AutoCAD for mac 2019 shut down unexpectedly without any dialog windows

After installed AutoCAD for mac 2019 (student license), I tried to create any new files from template, however the software was shut down unexpectedly every time!

My MacBook pro operating system is macOS High Sierra.

Does any one knows what's problem with it? Should I need to uninstall it?

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi @Anonymous

Have you tried clean uninstallation of AutoCAD:
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-for-mac/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/...
before installing it again?

You can also try this solution:

Do you see "Crash report" window after you select "Open" button?

What if you uncheck "Display at startup" option in Welcome screen:2019-04-12_13-55-53.png2019-04-12_13-55-53.png

and pick on "Cancel" button?

Then quit AutoCAD (if it will not quit itself) and try to launch it again - you will not see Welcome screen at this time, but new empty drawing should open. Does it work?

Hi, Maxim Kanaev

Thanks for your reply

1. Crash report" window didn't show out when it shut down.
2.  After uncheck "Display at startup" option in Welcome screen, I re-open autoCAD again, and it still shut down automatically.
3. I made a video for your reference, please check.

Another try:
- perform Clean uninstall of AutoCAD
- create new user account with admin privileges on your Mac using Users & Groups pane of macOS System Preferences
- login to this new account, install AutoCAD from this new account and try if it will work.

Same problem on new account 😞

I guess it can't work because of some documents didn't clean up (AutoCAD 2013 version),

so I decided to install AutoCAD on iMac tonight..

Thank you, Maxim Kanaev

It is unlikely.

Most likely it is activation problem.
Have you tried the 2-nd solution I posted in my first post here:
