I have no idea at all. I thin In some case AutoCAD can not access support files on your Mac.

Hi,
I need your help! I have Autocad for Mac 2013 student version. The software on screen appears the same as on the first post above. I followed your instruction MenuGroup.cui, PopMenuRoot.cui, Workflow.cui files are in place inside "~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/roaming/AutoCAD 2013/R19.0/enu/Support" folder. However I do not have them when I start up the software, I mean I do not see them and i can't use them. Could you help me if possible.
Thans in advance.

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

As first attempt to solve your problem:

Create new user account with administrative privileges, log into in and start AutoCAD.

Do you see all interface elements?

To say true, I newer faced with such problem, so I don't know the exact steps for solution.

But If you have the same results from different account, then there could be permissions problems on your Mac on System level.

But just in case: could you verify version of AutoCAD installed on your Mac? At the command prompt type _vernum and hit Return:

Command: _vernum
_VERNUM = "G.55.M.108" (read only)

Is it the same as mine?

have you also tried to Reset application settings from Application tab of AutoCAD Options?

BTW: you can delete additional account which you have created at my request, if you don't need it.

Maxim

Hi,

About _vernum command: you have to type it at the AutoCAD's command prompt, but not in the Terminal app. But it looks like it doesn't matter now, because:

Sorry, but now I don't understand what you asking about. Your screenshots clearly shows Menubar and Toollbar (Tool Sets palette).

So everything goes fine since now?

Could you explain?

Maxim

Hi, sorry for the confusion. Seems like its working now. Since I changed with the new user account! Then I though I still have mssing some command like " workspace switching", but then I fount it does not exist at all, as  Mac version is much more different from PC, to what I am used to see it. Thanks for your help!

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

Have you tried the solution with another user account (look for it some posts above)?

I have tried:
Verify and Fix disk permissions
Completely un-installed and reinstalled ACad
I am logged in as an administrator
I copied the suggested files into the suggested library folder.
I reset application options, which made the tool bar disappear and removes the manually installed CUI files.
Manually reinstalled CUI files and the tool bar came back but no menu.
The one thing that I did not get any results from is typing " _vernum", As soon as i type it and hit enter, just get a blank command line.

Any other ideas would be appreciated. Thank you. ej

You did not answer my question:
When you log as another user on your Mac (create temporary account with admin privileges, log in with this account) - do you have the same issue with Toolsets and menu?
As about "_vernum" command results: it appears you have to expand Command line window (with F2 key) in order to be able to see command history.
BTW - what OS do you have on your Mac?

I was not successful creating another user, but I was successful by manually adding the workspace, workflow, menu group and popmenugroup cui's to the suggested folder and that took care of the issue. thank you for pointing me in the right direction. have a good day. ej

btw did have the same version as you( confirmed through _vernum)
and os is X 10.8.5.
