auto cad running slow and freezes please help

Hi, my auto cad is running extra slow on my macbook pro, mouse takes ages to move, copying and pasting also does too basically everything.

I have imported my sketch up model into the existing dwg drawings and don't know whether this is causing havoc. However, I don't want to wipe everything and start again.

Is there anyway i can speed things up?

Please help Im a student and have a deadline to meet. ahhhhh

excuse the mess.. needs cleaning up

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

At first set AutoCAD system variable CONSTRAINTINFER=0: at the command prompt type CONSTRAINTINFER, than hit Return, than type 0 (zero) and hit return again.

Command:
Command: CONSTRAINTINFER
Enter new value for CONSTRAINTINFER <1>: 0
Command:

Now try to open attached drawing.

Does it run better?

Maxim

I think it has slightly made  difference, will let you know if its performance slows again. Thank you.

Whats does that do out of interest?

I deleted all Parametric constraints in your drawing which I believe are the result of Infer Constraints was turned on in your AutoCAD.
