3Dconnexion Space Mouse with AutoCad for mac?

I am hoping to see if it is possible to pair a 3Dconnexion Space Mouse with AutoCad for mac. On the Autodesk website it is advertised as a compatible device as of AutoCAD for Mac 2024, however, I haven't had any luck. I am hoping to see if anyone is aware of some setting or something I could change to make this work? I am relatively new to the software so any pointers are appreciated!

Please also pay attention to this note:

The 3Dconnexion device only works in a 3D visual style.

on 3Dconnexion Device Support page of the online help.

Hi there, 

My spacemouse enterprise wich I use for Fusion, also shows all basic drawing functions when Autocad is active. But they don't work. Autocad is relatively new to me. There was one time I saw the spacemouse moving the 2d autocad drawing.  But it was only once. I tried re-installing the drivers of the 3d connexion device, later I re-installed autocad lite 2026 for mac. Both actions to no effect. From a Fusion perspective it's very weird/slow not being able to activate a function with one button click. 

I can really not understand why this combination is not working, it would be so great for so many people. I must be doing something wrong.

Do you know what it is?

LT versions of AutoCAD are not able to do what is highlighted in the image here in full AutoCAD (aka not "lite")
