2024 ESC key always runs the _new command?

Just downloaded 2024, and whenever I press the ESC key (even while in a drawing command), it pops up the open dialog to choose a template, and the command line history shows the _new command.

This can't be intentional, right?

2023 doesn't do it.

Hi @velvet_forcing_0a ,

There is a bug (defect) in AutoCAD 2024 for Mac.

If you have redefined standard shortcut with CUI command, you need to remove undefined shortcuts on Shortcuts tab of the CUI window:

Select undefined (greyed out) shortcuts one by one and pick on "-" button to remove them from list. Save settings with OK button.

Now test Esc key.

2024.0.1 hotfix is available. Please click menu AutoCAD 2024 > Check for Updates to download it.

Note: If nothing happens when you click the menu, please make sure to enable AutoCAD notification in the macOS system preference panel.

Alternatively, you can also download it from your Autodesk Account portal.
