2012LT on PC vs 2018LT on Mac

Should CAD drawings created on my PC (using 2012LT) be fully compatible when opened on my Mac (using 2018LT for Mac)?

I'm finding that I can open them, but the text is stretched out .. like as if the formatting was lost for text.  Can anyone help?  Thank you, Paul

Thank you for your response Dean.  I'm not CAD savy enough to know how to tell, but I do know it is text created by clicking on "Multi-Line" or "Single-Line" text from within the CAD program.

The problem is most likely a font substitution is taking place: you have to find out what font is being used and what type of font it is.
