Extra number sheets

Extra number sheets

Electrical projects usually include sections such as Schematic and Panel. Each sheet of the project you need to assign a sheet number in the project and a sheet number in the section. Sometimes you need to add new sheets to the section, and then renumber the sheets within the project and within the section.

I propose to add options: number of the sheet in the section and number of the sheet in the subsection in the drawing properties.

Add tools automatic renumbering sheets inside the section and automatic renumbering sheets inside the subsection.

The way I work is to use an overall project number which shows as the dwg number.

Then a seperate number for the dwg within the project itself where each number represents a section.

Finally the sheet within that dwg.

The project number I set within the Title Block Despcriptions rather than the dwg settings.

The Dwg and Sheet numbers are set individually within the dwg settings.

My final number for each sheet looks like this - PPPPPP-DD-SS where P is the project number, D is the Dwg number and S is the sheet number.

Also on the title block I have a section for Sheet of Sheet Max for each section.

The first sheet is a field that looks at the sheet number in the overall dwg number listed above, while the Sheet Max is linked to the SHEETMAX value from the Title Block Update value. This sheet max value defaults to the actual count but can be set independantly.

With all that, I end up with something similar to what you have listed.

This may be something that you can use until something better comes along.

Regards Brad
