Editing AERESEQUENCE command

I want there to be a way to change how AERESEQUENCE orders/sorts the parts.

It currently organizes by:

1. Panel components
2. Schematic components with a panel representation, assigning the same item number as the related panel component
3. Schematic components with no panel representation

I would like it if there was a sort order option that would just organize by Manufacturer and Catalog (in my case) for the whole project reguardless of schematic or panel representation.

This is a continuation of my earlier post. I am currently working with AutoCAD Electrical 2017, Autodesk claims to have changed the order the AERESEQUENCE command does things:

Resequence Item Numbers

Item number resequencing is updated as follows:

•Drawings are no longer opened for processing, improving the performance.
•The manufacturers are sorted across the project, not per drawing.
•The entire project is always processed, keeping item numbers in sync for components with the same catalog.
•The project property, Reset with each Drawing, has been removed and is no longer valid.

Note: Use the AEITEMRESEQUENCEMODE system variable to return to the pre-2017 item number resequencing method.

I just ran a report from 2017 after using the 2017 AERESEQUENCE command and I am still having the same problem. AutoCAD Electrical needs to be able to organize Item numbers by the whole project.
