I use the AECHILDLOCUPDATE command regularly as its great for updating panel or child symbols with the schematic parent values.
However its a bit outdated and missing a few things I was hoping someone out there might have some suggestions or alternatives
1. I haven't found any API info or API help on this command.
2. I would like the dialogue box to default to having both the Rating Values & Manufacture Values checked off. does anyone no if there is a lisp or DCL for this command that could be modified. Ideally this would be a command prompt type command to bypass dialog box altogether.
3. The command in theory should also function for updating symbols of different WDTYPE. for example PID or one line symbols.
Another issue is that you cannot process Installation and Location values if you have your project set for Combined Installation/Location Tag Mode. You have to temporarily disable Combined Installation/Location Tag Mode, run the child update, and then enable Combined Installation/Location Tag Mode again.
