In my experience as well as my research that I have done thus far, you would be helping hundreds if not thousands of customers by adding the unique identifier to data options in the data extraction command. When extracting data from a cad file, almost every useful piece of information is pulled for each object except the unique identifier or Handle. The only other options I have come across for handle extraction are ATTEXT and ATTOUT, however, both of these only pull the handles from blocks rather than each individual object. These commands also require that the blocks contain attributes which has limited me on every single occasion.
