Hey folks. I was not involved in the install of the software on my machine (new job, someone else did it), but it seems the default_cat file is incomplete. I am missing most of the (usually) included manufacturers and parts. Do I simply need to reinstall the dadabase, or do I have to a complete reinstall? On another note: this was an online/download install, so no physical copy. Any advice? Please?
Thank you
Doug
Run through 'Programs and Features' in the Windows Control Panel, and double-click on AutoCAD Electrical. Choose the option to add/remove components. Going through the maintenance wizard, select any/all the manufacturers you want and then click Next > Next...Finish to complete the wizard.
This should work fine so long as your default_cat.mdb file is local to your computer, and your program was not installed from a network deployment where the catalog database was set up in a shared location. If that is the case, the creator of the deployment would need to edit it, and add in the additional manufacturer content.
