X-Y Grid Component Tagging

I would like to generate tags for my components based on the sheet number and the x-y coordinate that the parent is in. Is there a way to do this?

Hi ezbz14,

First set up the X-Y grid and place it on you drawing.

(to set it to x-y, change it the format referencing in the project settings)

(to place use the "X-Y Grid Setup" command hidden in the dropdown for Insert Ladder.)

Next set your component tag to %S%N.

%S is the sheet number

%N is the reference number (in this case the X-Y value)
