Your drawing numbers are set up to use line reference numbers for wire number:

However... There are no Line Reference numbers to inherit the number from. Insert a ladder:

Now, renumber the wire numbers:

Can you post a screenshot of the Wire Number tab in the drawing properties for that drawing?

I can see that you're using line reference (ladder) tagging. It appears that you don't have the %N value defined for that drawing. This value (known as a 'replaceable parameter' in ACADE) corresponds to the rungs of your ladder. In short, you are set up to use line reference numbers for tagging, but it looks like you don't have a ladder in that drawing to provide any line numbers.

%N will always refer to the ladder rungs when you are set up for Line Referencing in the drawing's settings.

Add a ladder off to the left somewhere, and then renumber your wires. That should get you together.

Jim you nail it! Thanks, but I am still curious about how smart is the AutoCAD Electrical in regards of wiring identification. Please see one more issue below:

The wires: W400-1 and its sequence is perfect identified.

The wires from P407 should not be numbered with the number 1 because it is other segment/ function. It should be W400-2 for the wire W400-1F and W400-3 for the W400-1G.

Is there anyway to have this config working automatically?

Thanks Jim,

Doug

I'm inclined to say no, but it's impossible to be sure without knowing why ACADE assigned those numbers to begin with. It would be helpful to see the whole drawing, with the ladder in it, so we can figure that out.
