Wire Annotation for Connectors

Can anyone advise, I'm struggling using panel wire annotation for connectors.

I can't seem to get my panel (wiring) footprint to recognise the P/J sides of the connector and not sure what I'm missing.

Example drawings are attached for a 9-pin connector

the image below from the panel footprint showing some of the connections are shown inverted

when I run the panel annotation report, the P/J is recognised so not sure why this isn't being transferred to the footprint, I could probably write something to extract this information but don't want to have to consider connector annotation separately to the rest of the panel annotation as part of my workflow.

I'm guessing its something in my panel footprint, have been trying various things, currently the values of the highlighted attributes are all 'J' or 'P' respectively but doesn't seem to be helping

any help appreciated

Did you ever figure this out? I am contemplating starting a footprint but it has 80 pins and I want it to be as perfect as possible so I'm doing research...

I did not, I will probably write some lisp to take the info from the report to annotate the connector footprint but haven't got round to it yet

Wow. Everything I have been browsing is telling me to just type up a table, by hand, because the wire annotation method will consume much more of my time. I can't do lisp but I can do it by hand.

Not sure who would advise to type a table by hand.

the reporting can provide you with appropriate tables

The wire annotation method takes time to produce suitable footprints, but once this is done will not consume much time
