What is 2ELAU6~Q?

Last week I created a project in AutoCad Electrical 2024, and had no issues creating the project and drawings. When I tried to open the project today, the project name in the project manager has changed to 2ELAU6~Q, and immediately shuts the program down. I looked into the project folder where this project and all of it's related files are located, and found a 2ELAU6~Q AEPX file, which was not there before.

I am curious if this is an error code because it has never occurred to any of the other AutoCad programs .

To where did you save your project?

What was the original name of the project?

I have seen something like this before, not sure what caused it though.

It possible that the project .mdb file has corrupted. I would try to browse to project .mdb file location, delete project database file, reopen the project in AutoCAD and it will force AutoCAD to recreate the database file for the project again.

Usually located under: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD Electrical 2025\R25.0\enu\Support\User\ProjectName.mdb (The AppData folder is hidden by default so you will have to enable show hidden folders)

I also once had to once remove the LastProj.fil file. This file stores the path to the last project you worked on. I somehow got stuck in weird loop where I wasn't able to access last opened projects. I remember browsing to the folder mentioned above, deleting the projectname.mdb file (you can cut-paste to desktop if you don't want to delete) and also removing the LastProj.fil (you can cut-paste to desktop if you don't want to delete).

This is kind of forced way of removing all the last opened projects and new database files will be created next time you open the project.

The name of the project was "24832-2 PRP SPLIT TANK FOR WARM-WATER AND COOL WATER". The project is stored in our server, and has a few layers to get to the file.

I have recently moved the project over to my desktop (it was previously located in our server), and has since started working properly without it changing to 2ELAU6~Q. Although the problem is somewhat solved, I would still like to know the reason for this issue and what we can do to prevent it.

Do you know what kind of server? NAS? Linux server? Windows Server?

Hi @dsikat ,

Have you submitted the crash error report when it crashed? If yes, let me know your email id which is used to submit the report.
