Update source arrow code without losing destination arrow cross reference?

Hello all.

I have a page with about 20 or so source arrows. I reference the page in the code part of the arrow. Is there a way to update this code without ACADE creating a new source arrow so I don't have to go through and re-link all of the destination arrows?

Not sure what you mean. Do AcadE create new source arrows when you change the code?
What do you mean by "I reference the page in the code part of the arrow"?

The code should be some code, and the destination arrows should have the same code. Then they will connect automatically.

In the source arrow dialog box, you have three sections that get filled out. Code, Reference, and Description. The reference will fill out automatically when I insert the destination arrow. but let's say I put 5505 under "code", and I want to change it to 5506, I'll have to go to the destination arrow that 5505 was linked to, right click, edit component, and select 5506.

Now on a page with 30 something source arrows, this is very time consuming. Is there a better way to do this?

  1. Export the signal codes to excel:

  2. Search/replace in excel:

  3. Import back into AcadE:

Is it supposed to take 10 or so minutes to update?

That worked for the source arrows, but the destination arrows still lost the cross reference link. So I would still need to go through my whole schematic and re-link the destination arrows. Why can't ACADE treat it like any other component and give it a parent child relation?

Did you change the destination arrows also in the excel sheet? Column D says S or D (Source/Destination)
