Unable to export data

Environment Overview:
I have an essentially empty project, with only one drawing for testing. The drawing contains a custom template I have been building over the last week. A total of 3 components, and no wires populate the drawing.
Main Problem:
I have placed both custom and native components on this drawing and am trying to export component data to a spreadsheet for a BOM. Neither the export to spreadsheet or reports -> BOM commands work. Both throw a similar error, "No data extracted" and "No data to display" respectively.
Exporting does generate an excel sheet but it is blank.
Custom Components/Symbols:
The custom components have all required attributes and I am near certain were generated, populated, and implemented correctly. I however wont rule this out as the issue, but because it doesn't work with the native components I don't think it is the main cause of my problems.
Other Troubleshooting:

I have read all other reports (3) in this category and none seem to cover the issue I am facing. My gut says there is some setup step for file configuration I missed when setting up the template but I genuinely don't know. Quite a few tutorials do what I have been doing and I still have no results. I have tried to export data both on this project and the template itself, both giving the same results.

Hi @autodeskuserCV6NL

Could you please confirm that you have assigned valid catalog data to your components?

If you right-click on your component > Edit Component > and click on Catalog Check.

This should show you a detailed window of catalog information with description which will be used for the BOM Reports and Export.
