Terminal strip in schematic

I know ACADE has the ability to do terminal strips in panel drawings. But can it do terminal strips (round or square) in schematic? I had to add each terminal individually and line them up next to each other (snapshot attached). But what if I had 50 terminals instead of 8, then this method would be inefficient. Also, you can see in the picture how adding the terminals and placing them next to each other manually doesn't look professional as they don't perfectly line up and are not equidistant from each other.

There are tools and methods that will do what you need.
If your image is meant to be for a single horizontal wire, use your grid snaps when inserting the terminal blocks. Also, use 'Multiple Insert' (AEMULTI at the command line). To do this you would have to draw a funny looking line but it would work. See my screen cast.

If you're trying to get them to line up on vertical wires, it's the same thing: use 'Multiple Insert' and turn on ortho while drawing the line.

For either method, make sure that OSNAPS are off. They will override grid snaps and the ortho crossing line.

I'll get the screenshot up as soon as it's processed by Autodesk.

Hope this helps,
Jim

That worked. Thanks. But I'd have thought ACADE would have a function that would let you add a terminal strip just by a click of a few buttons (something like specifying the number of terminals, spacing, and starting point). Oh well.

Add it to the list at the Electrical Ideas forum...

It is also possible to use the 'Align' tool to align all the terminals.
