Would it be possible to have Hydraulic as standard for the reports.

I always have to swap from schematic to hydraulic.

Nope. Unfortunately not. 
You can however use the API to automatically create some reports. Those functions have a "catergory" variable, where you can specify "HYD", "1-" etc.
