Reference Only in New Drawing Dialog Box

Anonymous
Not applicable
Neither Help nor the Autodesk Training book explains what the Reference Only box means in the Create New Drawing dialob box. Could someone explain what this means and when I may want to use it?

Some of my drawings are symbolic representations of where items are placed in the box and nothing in the drawing is electrically smart. Would I check the Reference Only box for those drawings?

Thanks.

Hello DawnMichele

The attached image is from the
2009 help and should give a pretty good description of the checkbox option in
question.  I located this by selecting the help button on the "New Drawing"
dialog.  Let me know if this doesn't answer your questions!

I hope this helps!
