Rebuild Database not working,

I am working in Autocad Electrical 2017 on windows 10, I have been rolling along in a project with no problems, however now I am having issues rebuilding database as well

When I add new terminals, cable markers whatever, they do not show up when I try to add them on different pages. Like ACADE does not even know that they are in the project.

I have to close the software and re open it whenever i want items to show up.

My company uses dropbox as the file server for our ACAD database stuff.

Unless you have gigabit speeds to dropbox I would not even attempt sharing database info over a wan. We have eight people on a lan and it's slow sometimes.

Hello,

I am having similar issues, I use ACADE 2014 and we haven't changed anything, I only noticed the issue last week. Wire numbers get repeated, source/destination arrow references list are blank or get replaced with question marks if refreshed. I too have discovered that closing and re-opening seems to restore normal behavior but it is irritating and inefficient.

I am googling for a solution right now and read something about a recent update to Microsoft Access that can cause issues. Does anyone at Autodesk have anything to offer?

Here is a response from Robin at Autodesk Inc. I got after I sent in a half dozen crash reports due to the most recent Microsoft update.

Hello,

I am a Software QA Engineer working on AutoCAD Electrical from Autodesk Inc.

Recently we have received crash reports against AutoCAD Electrical from your email id.

Would you please help to check the following AKN page to see if it will resolve your crash issue?

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-electrical/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarti...

We are a part of the development team, but not Product Support, so please do not treat this as a support case.

Thanks,

Robin

Hope this helps,
