Using PLC database editor I have copied a 1734-AENT module and created a 1734-AENTR module.  For some reasong when I use it the CAT and stays as a 1734-AENT.  Is there any way to avoid this when copying a device to be modified as another device?

A copy is a copy. You'll have to edit the CAT value manually.

Hi Trond,

Sure enough that is exactly right.  What I was doing was modifying the the attribute tag in the first record, Term 0, but that does not show when the module is inserted,  the third record is presenting the CAT info.  On the AENT module Terms 0 and 1 arent used.  So it uses Term 2, third record,  to display the module info not Term 0.

Thanks for the feedback.
