PIN List

Good Day

I am inserting a 3phase contactor and assign a catalogue item.

It then will assign the pins automatically.

Unfortunately it does not start at the first contact but only at the second.

So, the first contact has no pins and the second starts with 1 and2.

I have tried with my own catalogue and with the autocad catalogue.

Both do this.

We need to see the data you have for coil pins and pinlist in the catalog. Can you send a screenshot?

I see that you're working directly into the database.

Did you copy/paste the pin list from an Excel sheet or something like that, into the pin list table in access?

I've seen "invisible characters" being pasted, like "line break" etc.

I copy pasted the catalogue items from excel yes, but not the pin list.

That i typed directly into the pin list and when that did not work properly i copy pasted from another pin list that

came with auto cad.

Your procedure shown is new to me...

I did not know you can do it like that.

I insert a relay coil via the icon menu.

Then i choose a catalogue item via lookup.

Once the relay coil is placed, i will insert a 3 position selector switch (three pole no) as this is the only one that

resembles a contactor properly.

Once both items inserted and named the same, will autocad automatically fill the pins on the three pole no icon.

It used to do this correctly but now it leaves the first contact open and only starts at the second contact...

I have done it your way now and it works.

It seems the problem was that i did not link the 2 symbols via parent/sibling.

Once i do this it works both ways!
