Panel Footprint Terminal Block, Automatic Numbering From Schematic

Not that it takes forever but I would like to see if I could somehow speed up a certain process here when it comes to the Panel part of my schematic creation.

I have a footprint for the terminal blocks that we typically use, that block has an attribute, DESC1, that I use for the terminal number. I insert one block, put a number on it, copy and array that block as much as I need and then just double click on the number to change it as needed.

Is there a faster, more efficient way to accomplish this? Perhaps I could get a list in excel or notepad++ and somehow write a script that will push those numbers into a group of those terminal block blocks in ACADE(?)

try to Dowload INCREAMENT tool from acade store ,it free ,it is not dedicate for electrical, but if you use it the autocad will recoginze all,the only issue is that if  change items with this tools you will not have auto update for linked items or reports you will need to do it yourshelf, i use it with parent items and only then create a footprint Items and report. so it a good seloution  for beging of project and less for updateing already made project

Hello @Zerb

Sounds like you are manually creating 2D representation of Terminal Strips without using TSE.

If all you want to do is manually create a 2D array of blocks and update attributes based on an external list (like a csv file). It can be done with a simple AutoLISP program.

If you want to upload the dwg file of terminal footprint, I can create the program for you.

Just need to confirm a couple of details

1. You are using this for representation only and there is no catalog data associated?

2. Do you use only one type of terminal footprint for displaying singles/doubles/AC/DC etc terminals?
