Move wires with block editor change.

Is it possible to have the wires going to terminals on a specific block move with the terminals, if you move the terminals because of having to make the block bigger?

No. The association between a wire and where it lands isn't an always-on sort of thing. ACADE will help you make sure the wire lands on a connection point during the command, but after that, it stops keeping track.

There are reports you can run that will tell you if a wire isn't connected to something, but even then the software doesn't reconnect them for you. You still have to reattach the wires after resizing the block.

Accepted solution

You should not be using the AutoCAD block editor to change the symbols used with AutoCAD Electrical.

The better way to do it is to open the dwg that the block came from, edit it and save it. Then use Swap/Update Block to update the symbol. If done this way, AutoCAD Electrical will update the wire terminations on the block.
