Missing SHX Files in AutoCAD Electrical 2017

Hello,

I was opening up some drawing files in ACE 2017 that I have opened before, and this time i got the following error:

Missing SHX Files.PNG

The two files that it says are missing are ltypeshp.shx and acadepidshp.shx. I have never seen this before now, and I'm not aware of those fonts being used in these or any of my drawings. When I open this drawing in ACE 2014, I don't see this message. I checked the font folders for ACE 2014 and 2017, and those files are not in either one. This may be unrelated, but I also noticed that my full menu bar isn't available now in ACE 2017. I only see Projects, Components, Wires, Panel Layout, and Help. I don't see File through Parametric that are usually also there. Anyone have any ideas about what is going on here?

Thank you in advance,

Matthew Prichard

These aren't fonts, but shape files containing shapes used in some line types.

The files should be located in

C:\Users\{USERNAME}\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD Electrical 2017\R21.0\enu\Support

Make sure this folder is listed in the support folders in AutoCAD Options:

Hi @rhesusminus,

That file was not in my support file search path. The highlighted path below was there though.

Support File Search Path.PNG

I replaced that path with the one you said should be there. I'm not sure what caused the path to be lost, but the issue seems to be fixed now.

Thank you!
