Ladder diagram adressing

Good day to you all,

Learning a new aspect of Autocad Electrical and I came across this little predicament:

Is there something I can configure that would allow it to pick up the actual location on the ladder (Component on rung 33)?

Your drawing is saved as a 2018 version dwg...only those of us who have upgraded that far can open it. Can you do a 'Save As' and change the 'Save As Type...' to 2013 dwg? That way those of us using older versions of the software can open the file. This won't affect drawing performance.

It dawns on me that it would probably be useful to have the drawing with the cross referenced item. 

I am trying to cross reference the component on line 51 of drawing CARTE PLC 1 and it shows up as 1-6.

Well, after taking a look at the Alimentation drawing, the first to check is in your project properties. Go to the 'Drawing Format' tab, and look at your setting for 'Tag/Wire Number/Wire Sequence Order'. For your setup, I think this should be set to 'top to bottom, moving right (default for horizontal ladders)'. I don't design to the IEC standard, though, so I'm not 100% sure. But this looks like a possibility.

Set it to the horizontal ladder default, and then retag the child component. Did that change anything?

Sadly it still tags it with rung 6 and not 33.

I really can't see what's going on here, and that's probably because I've never used horizontal ladders and so am just not aware of the proper way to set them up. I do think that this is, as you said, something in how you've configured your drawing. So, I'll give a shout out to someone who may be able to help us here:

I tried comparing it to the NFPADEMO project (With 2 vertical ladders to a
page) and randomly assign a contact on one ladder to a coil on the other
side where the rungs line up just like mine and it still worked.
