Issue with Multiple Parent Files/Renaming Drg's

I came across this issue trying to use the Rename Wizard in Vault 2020 for several .drg files.

When trying to rename files it appears there are two related parent/project files. You can see these appearing in the rename wizard as well as when checking in (see screenshots attached.) This is causing an error and a crash when trying to proceed in the Rename Wizard.

One of these project files is the parent that I would expect to see associated  with the drawings however the other is from an older project. Any idea how this may have happened and how I can resolve this?

Many Thanks,

Kieran

Have you tried to check out both project files prior to doing the rename operation? Maybe at least one of them was not able to be checked out when you tried to perform the operation.

Save the block as a drawing file and place it in the same directory as your other block files. AutoCAD Electrical will use this file first. Under normal settings that is.

I see there is a topic with the exact same title as this.

exception-in-wd-oledb-select-arx-command

Edit: wrong post, somehow got attached to this one.

Thanks for the reply. Checking out the project files throws up a separate error. It seems project files must be checked in for the rename wizard to work.

Also a mistake in my first post, I meant to say dwg. files instead of drg. These are not block but files, but drawings instead.

Thanks.
