How does NFPA.dll and ACE_NFPA_MENU.dat work, and where are the images

I have been reading a bunch of forum posts trying to understand these images and how these files work.  It started because I wanted to know exactly where the icon menu images are location, like the image of the push button and started getting into these being a dynamic link library, and looking at the .DAT file to see which library they are in (something about S1 and S2).  I'm just not following this, or how to look at those and know where the images are.

Can someone explain how these link and the file paths?

I believe the images are held in a slide library file, which has a .slb extension. I don't know how to work with them, though.

When you're using the Icon Menu Wizard, you can look at the name of the individual slides.

There are commands for working with slides and slide libraries in ACADE. As I said, I haven't worked with them before, but searching HELP for 'slide' and 'slide library' offered up quite a few entries.

I started a little bit of that but then ran across some posts saying the slides aren't used anymore and the newer ones are .dll.  I will keep searching around help as well.  I just wasn't following and the more I read the more confused I was.

Images are saved in s2.dll  which is normally be saved in the same location as icon menu (.dat).

Oh, so this is just me now knowing very much about those types of files.  Those images are part of those .dll files.  I was kind of thinking there were images in a folder somewhere and these were just like mapping files or something.  I guess I didn't really know what those files were.
