Graphical Format Cross-Reference: Missing Pin Text and Missing Spare Contacts

Hello collective wisdom of the mighty ACADE forum,

First time poster, long time lurker. I am having an issue getting the graphical format cross-referencing for contacts to show up properly.

In Properties, I have set the Component Cross-Reference Display to Graphical Format and have chosen the options in the setup as shown in the pic attached (Graphical Cross-Reference Setup.png).

In each relay component, I have chosen a part from the catalog that has a pin list. And I have connected each child contact to its parent relay. After I perform these actions, the cross-reference displays only the contacts in use with their pin numbers as shown under example K555 in attached pic (Graphical Cross-Reference Contacts.png).

I would like the spares to show up as I have selected in the options. They only way I have been able to make this happen is if I click on NO/NC Setup in the relay component and then just click OK on the popup that appears. Then the spares appear, but I lose the pin numbers as shown under K777 in attached pic (Graphical Cross-Reference Contacts.png). I have tried to change the pin numbers in the contacts and I have tried reconnecting them to their relays. Sometimes this causes the pin numbers to reappear, but I lose the spares again, and sometimes it just does nothing.

To add to the mystery,  the Contact Count Totals option seems to work as intended (see pic Graphical Cross-Reference Contacts with Spare Count.png). However, I require the Separate Reference option so that I get a display with all possible contacts and their pin numbers.

I would greatly appreciate any help in this matter. Thank you for your time.

Are you using the same settings for cross-references in all drawings? Remember that when you set this in the drawing properties, it'll only apply to this one drawing. If you set it in the project properties, you'll have to apply those settings to all drawing.

If you could share a drawing it'll be easier to help out with this.

Yes, I have the same settings for cross-references in all drawings and in the project properties. However, the decision to use the graphical format instead of text format was made after the project was created, which I think may be the source of the problem. 

I will attach an example drawing I created inside of the project with the issue to demonstrate the problem. However, if you update the cross-refs in the drawing, the issue may disappear as the drawing is no longer in the project. I just tried to create a test project with the exact same project properties and used the graphical display in a test drawing. It worked without issue. So, it appears that the problem is with this one project.

You have a "space" as the first character of your tags.

" K30" and " K60".
Rename to "K30" and "K60" and you should be good.

You are right! I traced the source of the extra space to my wd_fam.dat file.
