Drawing List Report Not Importing Title Block Descriptions

NOTE: This is an isolated issue at my company, of the 3 electrical designers I am the only one that seems to have this issue, and I'd prefer not to fully reinstall ACADE 2026.

SETUP: Title blocks are set up with the .wdt file method, where the title block's DWGDESC field is mapped to DWGDESC. I have also tried mapping DWGDESC to DWGDESC1, DWGDESC2, and so on. The project also has a .WDP file wherein several drawings have their drawing descriptions embedded there. This is likely an artifact from old design but no other designers have the below issue when they are present:

ISSUE: When performing either a drawing list report, only drawings with named Drawing Descriptions in the .WDP file will have their description populated on the report. Similarly, when running AEUPDATETITLEBLOCK, any drawings whose DWGDESC on the title block is not present in the .WDP will have theirs erased completely. The only way to successfully run the drawing list report is to manually edit each drawing's properties and pick the text off the title block.

Hi @csmithHVWRL 

Seems like you have done most of the troubleshooting already. If you don't see a description for a drawing file in the ProjectName.wdp file, it wont be populated using in reports or titleblock update.

If you right-click on drawing 21070-020, go to drawing properties, Do you see drawing descriptions populated?
These descriptions are directly written to wdp file and pulled from wdp file for reports and title block update.

The descriptions usually get lost if you remove drawings from a project and then add new or same ones back.

Do you mean the same project (exact same copy of wdp file) works for other designers but not you?
