Drawing Audit Solutions

I'm creating a procedure for auditing our drawing packages for mistakes, inconsistencies, and missing information and I'm wondering what tools and/or procedures others use.

The main tools I'm including in the procedure are:

AEXREF - Electrical Cross Ref

AEAUDIT - Electrical Audit

AEAUDITDWG - Drawing Audit

Signal Error/List - Unmatched signal references

Missing Catalog Data - To find symbols without catalog data

AEUTILITIES - Project Wide Updates for wire numbers, signal references, and/or custom script

AEPROJUPDATE - Project Wide re-tagging...wire numbers, xrefs, components, sheet numbers, drawing numbers...

I guess what I'm asking is what do other people use to audit their drawings and do you have a sequence of operations for your error checking? Do you use any other tools besides the ones above? Thanks!

I give my trainees a handout that includes such a checklist.  While I won't post that list here, I will provide a couple of honorable mentions.

  1. Project-wide update/retag with boxes for Component Retag, Cross-reference Update, Wire Number and Signal Tag/Retag, and Title Block Update
  1. From Project Utilities, purge blocks project-wide
  2. Mark drawings using the Mark/Verify Utility
