default_cat issues

Prior to installing Vault Basic we had the default_cat database shared on a network folder and had no problems with 3 users accessing the db. Our Eng Manager decided that we should be using vault and we reconfigured our system to run with Vault. The problem was that now we had to check-out the db in order to make changes to the db and the only way to check it back in was to shut down Autocad, very annoying. We have tried to go back to a non-vaulted db but now we run into file locking issues that we never had before. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Hi @jacquesbenoit ,

Normally mdb file is locked when any user accesses it. So, it is not a good practice to have default_cat.mdb in Vault for multiple user environment.

Please take a look at the forum post below as suggested by @rhesusminus .

Also please find below some reference video for Vault with ACADE.

@jacquesbenoit , You mentioned that you went back to non-vaulted db. Can you explain more on this and also the issues you are getting?
