AutoCAD Electrical Schematic Specification Report

Hello everyone. I’ve run into an issue with schematic bill of materials (BOM) reports. The default report layout leaves much to be desired, as each element occupies a separate position within a single line. I managed to configure the report (using a custom function) so that elements are listed with commas and multiple items fit into a single column. However, this approach fails when there are too many elements. Is there a way to format the list like "KL1...KL22, KL26, KL28"? Also, I need each new entry to create a new row rather than expanding the existing one. Perhaps someone has already solved this problem and can point me to a relevant discussion?

You'll have to program a user post to "massage" the report data and return the desired result.

Thanks for the reply. As I understand it, this is implemented by configuring the Bill of Materials (BOM), and there are no off-the-shelf solutions for this. It’s a shame that such a simple function requires delving into programming within the software itself.

Well, according to some users, this is the STRENGTH of the program. The flexibility to be able to program custom solutions. (Well... Most other programs do that also)
