AutoCad Electrical Free 3-Year Student License for MAC

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I signed in under the free 3-year student license but I did not see a mac version in the drop down list, just Windows 32 & 64-bit versions. Is there a Mac version available? If so, where can I download it.

Thanks,

Hi,

Thanks for signing up for AutoCAD Electrical educational release. We do not have Mac versions of our AutoCAD vertical products, only AutoCAD itself. So there is no Mac version of AutoCAD Electrical. Running it in Bootcamp or Parallels may meet your needs?

Regards,

Lee

Hi Lee,

I did install WIndows 7 Pro 64-Bit via Bootcamp on my Mac and Autocad Electrical 2012 educational release is running great.

Thanks,

There is no free version. There is a student version.
There still is no MAC-version of AutoCAD Electrical.

how does this affect the student licensing. I have auto cad on my Mac and MacBook i.e 2 seats which is allowed.

in order to run either the electrical or engineering vertical products I have to invest in a gates Microsoft computer and then stop running my auto cad on the decent machines. I am correct am I not

Not sure if you're trolling or not. But no, you can't run any of the verticals of AutoCAD on Mac OS. You'll need to run Windows on parallells or the likes to make this run on your Mac.

Hi not trolling. Just making a point. The best operating system for autocad is Mac. It runs faster and does not crash unlike windows. Therefore if you want to run electrical vertical you have to choose an inferior platform. Auto desk have promised for years to resolve this situation and it still has not been done.
