Is it possible to use the %S%N format for my initial 3 phase power wires? 

How do I get the wire numbers to appear at the top of the wire rather than in the middle of the wire?

Hi there,

This may be the tool you are looking for.  You can also add wire number marks anywhere on the wire.

 

  

For 3 phase I like to use this tool to set the wire numbers like sheet 3 line one as,  0301-L1, 0301-L2, 0301-L3 etc

I guess I need to clarify, when I inserted the wire numbers they were automatically inserted to the middle of the wire.  I'd prefer for it to insert at the top where as you show in your pictures without any additional intervention.

Ok, now I see what you are asking.

In the active project, in the Project Manager, right click on the Project Title, from the fly out menu select Properties ...

Does this apply to all wiring?  Seems fine for wires within the ladder but not the originating wires.

Well, this may not work for you but this is how one of my schematics started out.  Not the best example it's just a "for instance".

The settings you choose in the Drawing Properties determines the location of the wire number. The default is middle. You can always use the Move Wire Number tool to select a different place on the wire where you wish to move the wire number to. The software will remember this even if you run wire numbering again.

These are the Project Properties. Check that the DRAWING properties also is set have the wire numbers above wire.
