Surface - Remove Breaklines

Surface - Remove Breaklines

We really need a right-click option just below Add to Surface as Breakline to quickly Remove as Breakline from Surface

One thing I have done is delete the feature line, then type OOPS. This seems to remove the feature line from the surface but then bring it back as a feature line. Using undo instead of oops will put the breakline back into the surface.

Yes, that's the sledgehammer approach.

Like I said we need quick, clean and proper right-click functionality for this to remove from the surface database. Who knows what errors or model instabilities the sledgehammer approach brings on after the drawing gets tired.

My new gradings are bringing in 4 errors typically as they are newly created. My corridor has hung three times..etc.

Not only in the context menu but also in the context ribbon if you select a surface.

However, I would prefer another workflow about adding entities as Breaklines. I told to Tim Yarris a way from LAYERS.

So, if your entities are saved in particular layers, those entities will be added automatically as a breaklines to the surface.

In the surface properties, you should set the layers you want for breaklines. (or select directly a Layer Filter Properties)

Even, the "Breakline Set" name could match with the corresponding Layer name.

To solve your case, due to this would be dynamic then you simply should move your entity to another layer.

We don't want to have to go to the trouble of moving the Featureline to another layer.

Just need a quick right-click option to remove it from the surface definition.

Glad to see Autocad takes these requests/ideas so seriously. 3 years later and still no command to remove a feature line from a surface. Bravo!!!

@fcernst I'd say sledgehammer is better than no hammer in this case!

9 years later and at least I found a workaround from this suggestion.
