Hi all,
is there a out of the box way to copy property set data from one object on another?

i.e. i have a space with its property set populated. can i copy the data inside the property set to another space?

-thanks!

In the 2009 release, the MatchProp command was modified to copy the style of an AEC object (when the source and target objects are both the same AEC object type). So far as I know, there is no out-of-the-box function to copy object-based property data from one object to another. Perhaps there are third-party customizations that would allow you to do that. It would make a good item for the wish list.

For manual properties in an object-based Property Set, you can select multiple objects with that Property Set attached and edit the manual properties for all at once. I realize that is not what you asked to do, but if the issue is adding the same data to multiple objects, it may help reduce the number of times that you wish you could easily copy property values between objects.

Iova,

A trick I sometimes use is to select all of the items that you want with
identical information being careful to select the one that is currently
filled in with the correct info first. You'll notice that if you select
a field that you want info copied to the "Varies" will change to the
info from the first item. Do a CTRL-C followed by a CTRL-V,
effectively cutting from the first item to all of the rest.

Still not what you want but it might be simpler than re-entering all of
the data.
