Custom title mark tag

Greetings Everyone.

I would like to create a custom title mark tag but do not want to lose the attribute association to the Model Space View name, scale, and number.

Does anyone know how to create the attribute (if that's what it is) so it pulls this information like the out of the box version does?

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Matt

Place one of the out-of-the-box Title Marks that is closest to what you want (or that at least displays the information you want to see).  Explode it and take a look at the results.  The detail number, detail title and scale are in fact displayed by Attribute Definitions.  The default values for each are Fields.  Double click one of the Attribute Definitions, select the default value, right click and choose Edit Field from the context menu to see what Field types are used.  Use the same fields in Attribute Definitions in your customized content and you should get the same results, when placed by using a Title Mark tool.

I think I tried that but once exploded, the fields turn to text (tag name) so there's no edit field.

I'll give it another try though. It's very possible I missed something.

Thanks for replying.

When the blocks are exploded, the Attributes become Attribute Definitions, which do display the Attribute Tag Name in the drawing.  Double click on one of the Attribute definitions.  In the Edit Attribute Definition dialog, the Field will be in the Default edit box.  Select the Field, right click on it and choose Edit Field from the context menu to see the properties of the Field.2019-02-27_ACA2019_ExplodedTitleMark_TitleAttributeDef_EditFieldInDefault.png
