Custom Acis SAT export Attributes

My company is using multiple CAD programs (AutoCAD Architecture and Cadwork), so we transfer files between those programs. The best way to we found are Acis SAT files, however even though when opening  the SAT file in text editor colors and other attributes are defined but can't be read by the other program. Which makes it very time consuming to reorganize the data in the other program.

When I import a SAT file into AutoCAD from another program save the file and export another SAT file from AutoCAD the attributes from the other program are still saved in the SAT file. Which means the data prviously stored in the SAt file are saved somewhere in AutoCAD is there a way to access this data?

And can you add such data to objects created in AutoCAD?

I created simple data to show the problem (see attached file). The red Solid was imported from Cadwork and still has all cadwork attributes, the green solid was created in AutoCad.

Can I add information like cadwork color or name to the green solid?

Thanks in advance
Björn

Interoperability between two different manufacturers is not something you'll find a fix for around here. Add to the mix a third file format and you're just going down a rabbit hole that's impossible for end users like us to tackle. Sorry.

Find another exchange-format to use that generates what you need, if one exists.
