Converting hatch into space

Hi! Like the title says, is there a way to convert a hatch into a Space object? Since there is no way to add a Space object picking a point inside a room, like you can do with hatch command, I wonder if there is then a way to add a Space object faster than clicking every corner of a room. I tried the generate option of the Space but it never find valid boundaries. Any help in this subject would be very much appreciated.

Why a hatch exactly? BOUNDARY command come to mind as the more optimum tool, and this tip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5z3wJT08EE

Are you using Wall objects for the walls/partitions that create your rooms?  If not, what do you use?

Whatever it is, make certain that the Bound spaces property of the objects is set the Yes [or, By style (Yes), for AEC objects like Walls, where you can set all objects of a given style to be associative-Space bounding].

For Wall Styles, there is a toggle on the General tab for making them Space bounding.

For Lines, Polylines, Circles and Arcs, look on the Properties palette, Design tab, under the Advanced category, for the Bound spaces property.  Set it to Yes.  You can select multiple objects and set them all to Yes in one action.
