Which Autodesk program is best to design Golden Ratio structure?

We are two students that want to design a model similar to the photo attached and we would want to know which programm would be better to use and be able to do the spirals from the picture.

That looks like something FormZ used to be able to do with ease.  

In CAD you could try extruding along a path with a taper, that should get you the tower part.  Then you will have to piece the rest of it together using all of the 3D modeling tools available.
